How to Use
Uses
- Complement audio learning
Is the Trans-Pacific flight to Shanghai putting you to sleep? If you are traveling for business, vacation or an exchange program, use the time to study instead! While listening to Chinese audio tapes, pick out the magnets whose characters make up the sentence(s) you just heard. Beginners can select the magnets that represent the subject or the verb in each sentence. - Boost classroom comprehension
Are you a teacher and want to add some pizzazz to your class? Hand out copies of pictures of a family, a person or a meal and have your students place it on top of the 8” x 11” dry erase magnetic board. Direct them to put the magnets over the corresponding family member, the appropriate part of the body or the piece of food. You can also incorporate IdeoLingo Kits into pop quizzes. After you state a word or sentence, your students must select the magnets corresponding to the words they just heard and then can pass their dry erase boards with the magnets to the person next to them for grading. - Play learning games
Have fun with a study partner! Challenge him or her by selecting ten magnets, placing them on a dry erase board and requiring your study buddy to either identify each character or create a sentence by rearranging the magnets. - Give as the perfect gift
