IdeoLingo® is a Southern California-based company that develops fun and innovative study aids for students learning languages whose words and concepts are represented by ideograms. These languages include but are not limited to Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
With the emergence of a global economy and the need for worldwide cooperation and understanding, many people have recognized the importance of speaking and reading Chinese, Japanese and Korean. At the same time, native speakers of these languages have also acknowledged the importance of speaking and reading English. While 25,000 to 50,000 students are learning Chinese in the United States today, 240 million children in China are learning English. Despite efforts to eliminate language barriers, Asian languages are among the most difficult to learn. IdeoLingo grew out of a desire to create educational, yet creative tools to help master these languages.
IdeoLingo® products are specifically designed for kinesthetic learners- those who learn best by physically touching, moving and manipulating objects. All products are patent pending.
We are pleased to introduce our first product, the IdeoLingo® Chinese Magnet Kit with 777 magnets with simplified Chinese characters printed on one side and the Pinyin or phonetic pronunciation printed on the reverse side. IdeoLingo® Magnet Kits are portable, durable and designed for use in all settings and conditions. They are meant to supplement other language material such as dictionaries, textbooks and audio aids and are intended for language students of all ages, whether an 11-year old middle school student, 22 year-old undergraduate or 57-year old businessman.
